RACELOGIC have worked with vehicle manufacturer Caterpillar to measure the articulation angle and position of their earthmoving equipment using a dual antenna set-up.
The custom solution consisted of VBOX Speed Sensor Dual Antenna, a Base Station for DGPS correction with telemetry, and an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU).
RACELOGIC have worked with Mitsui Group company PTS S.A. in Peru to develop a solution to reduce the stresses on their ultra-class haul truck fleet.
The custom system comprised a 20Hz VBOX IISX to monitor various tyre and vehicle conditions (temperature, velocity, acceleration, radius of turn, gradient, etc.) to determine ideal driver behaviour. This helps to preserve the life of the tyres and vehicle components, resulting in significant long-term savings. RACELOGIC's Speed Profiler solution is also put to use in similar applications.
